We really wanted to hike Y Mountain with the kids. We picked a morning we thought would be nice and hoped that the trails would not be muddy. They weren't!
Since we went to Utah in May everybody still and work and school. But Rachelle and Lily were able to come hike the Y with us, which was a lot of fun.
Getting ready to hike the Y.
Noelle really wanted this rock for her collection. I told her NO.
It is a bit of a steep climb, with lots of switchbacks.
Noelle and Lily took a little photo break.
Jet did walk some of the way, but mostly he was on Morgan's shoulders.
We made it to the top!
We could see the Provo temple...
And Utah lake....
Plus the Provo Center Street Temple.
Climbing the Y on the bottom.
You can see Y mountain in the back of this picture. From the trailhead the top of the Y is 1.2 miles, so 2.4 round trip. You get an elevation of 1000 feet over 12 switchbacks.
