Noelle's Big Haircut

It became time to do something about Noelle's hair. It was always in her face, and she hated getting it combed or brushed. She would ask me if we could leave her hair "free and in the wild".

So we set up an appointment for a haircut.

Here is the Before shot.

Jet got to play with some friends while he waited.

She was a little nervous, but she got over her hesitation pretty quickly.

AFTER! I think getting ready for school is going to be a lot easier.

Jet's 2nd Birthday!

Jet's birthday was Sunday September 27th, which made it much easier for family to be able to come up and celebrate with us. Oma and Opa and Ginny came up from Chillicothe and Guy and Allison came over from Ames.

Jet enjoyed opening his presents.

He didn't want to let go of his flashlight.

He was also excited to get his own money.

Jet's big gift was a wooden rocking horse.

Then Peaches and Cream cake and ice cream for dessert.

Backyard Camping!

Eli needed to go camping to pass off stuff for Cub Scouts. We decided to have a simple campout in our back yard. The kids and I all slept inside the tent and Morgan kept watch just outside on a cot. I didn't get much sleep, but it was fun to do as a family.

That morning I had to go pickup some vegetable from a food co-op, so on the way home I stopped by and got some donuts to go with our breakfast.

Labor Day Outdoor Fun

We went to Morgan's parents house for Labor Day and spent some time outside trimming trees and stacking  branches. Jet and May loved running around together and Noelle and Anne were princesses in their flower garden.

Joshua Turns 7!

Joshua turned 7 years old on September 7th! We had a fun birthday. We celebrated by taking him out to lunch at Texas Roadhouse then opened presents, ate cake and watched a movie.  Josh requested a Chocolate Nutella Marshmallow cake for this birthday.
