Josh is growing

Today is the first day that Joshua ate 'real' breakfast cereal for his own breakfast. First he was on baby cereal, then I fed him Cream of Wheat for breakfast, but today that was all gone and I had decided previously that when it was gone I would let him eat cereal.

Anyway, he did really well feeding himself the cereal. I think I need to give him less milk next time in order to get less mess. :) I know I baby him a bit, I think this was one of the ways I still convinced myself that he was my baby. But now that I can't hold him back from it any longer I need to come to the realization that I don't have a baby anymore.

Ollie's Benefit

Saturday night we went to a benefit for a boy in our ward. We had a really great time, we all got our faces painted, played around in the kid section and even had the winning big on a piece of artwork. Here are a few pictures from our fun night.

Yes, that is paint.

Playing with the parachute.

Going fishing.

Pretend

Today as I was getting ready I heard Eli in his bedroom telling Josh that he was playing disc golf. He would throw and make it into the basket. Then he came and asked me if I wanted to play too. I said sure, went and stood by him and he gave me his 'disc.' (We aren't really allowed to throw discs upstairs so he gave me a different toy.)
First Eli told me that I was blue. Then I aimed my shot and threw the toy to the changing table. Eli, says, no Mom you can't let go of disc. He went and got it, and I said that maybe he should so me. He then shows me how I need to throw, without letting go so that the disc will go on the TV.

At a Superbowl party we had played Wii disc golf. And now Eli was pretending to play Wii disc golf. You got to love the kids will pretend to play video games!

Not House Hunting

So, after much thought, and looking at our non-existent tax return we've decided to put off looking for a house for a couple of months. I'm totally bummed. But it is what it is.

Melt your Heart

Here is Josh looking out the window for his Daddy to come home. When he sees him, he starts calling out "Da, da!" And will go to the door to try and open it for Morgan.

Today after nap time I was putting clothes away and came into the boys room to find Josh sitting on his bookshelf just quietly looking out the window. I loved it! I know these are my kids, but I think they are just adorable. (Adorable moments anyway.) I am so happy to be a mom to my sweet two little boys.

Valentines

Eli and Josh were very excited this year to get Valentines from their Grandma Lasley and their cousin Hope. We've got them displayed on the piano, and Eli knows which ones are his.
Thanks you guys!

Brothers

Josh and Eli preparing tricks.

They've got that Look about them.

Sommersault, tackle, I'm not even sure what.

Eli is watching a movie. Josh is...not.

House Hunting

Morgan and I are officially looking for a home to buy. We have been checking online and reading the different House for Sale magazines, plus the listings in the newspapers. Today, however, I went out with our Realtor to look at houses.

It is A LOT different to see in person than the blurbs online. For instance we looked at five houses today, one I always loved when I saw it online, when I got there in person I realized the kitchen was MUCH too small. There would be no way for our table and chairs to be in the kitchen and to open the fridge.

Another house was one that we had thought about putting on our list and decided against it because of the location. However I really liked this house. I can understand now going into a house and saying I like this house...I could live here. Morgan and I are going to check it out again tomorrow (and taking the kids). We'll see. We will still have a lot of praying to do when it comes to our final decision. So wish us luck!
