POGO!

The Scheels in town is moving to a larger location so they have most of their stuff on sale. I went earlier  last week and found some running gear and wool socks. Morgan went a on Saturday with the kids to see what he could find.

He came home with a POGO stick for me.  Our friends the Johnson's have a pogo stick that we played on in the summer and we really enjoyed it. It was a great surprise.

Then Morgan told me that the store also had smaller pogo sticks that would work for the kids, so I sent him back to buy two more.

Eli and Josh LOVED it!  Josh doesn't quite weight enough yet, but he is getting it.  Eli has taken to the pogo stick like a fish to water. We got the pogo stick Saturday afternoon and by Tuesday morning his highest record of consecutive jumps was 833.  Morgan and I managed to get in the 70's on Saturday, so Eli has us all beat!

Finally, Noelle has found all of the photo memory books. She loves looking at them and will be very content to point out her family members.

Noelle learned how to punch and hit from her brothers.  Tonight she put on a glove, came up behind me and started punching me. I told her that we had to be soft. So she started punching me softly.

Yesterday Josh was swinging a bag around the house. He told me he was trying to 'Catch some Air.'  I don't think I should tell him what that phrase really means.

New Year's Eve

We had a really good New Year's Eve.  We had several friends over. The kids got to stay up until about 10pm watching movies, then we put them to bed in the different rooms in our house. Then the grownups stayed up later playing games and eating more food.

It was a great night!

Friday

What happens in a normal day at our house?  Let me tell you.

First, if we are lucky, Morgan makes pancakes.

Pancakes have Syrup on them!  Syrup is one of the four main food groups.

During the day I will notice silence and go see what is going on.  I notice the book on the floor next to Noelle. If I see the book on the floor then I know that.....

The jacket of the book is in the garbage. Don't ask me why Noelle always throws the jacket away, but she does. I didn't even bother to check the garbage before I got the camera, because this has happened so many times before.

Then, since we got 10 inches of snow, Morgan came home early from work so we could go sledding. (Sledding with kids is not something I will do without another adult present).

Noelle goes down with Dad.

And up with Dad.

And that is our Friday.
