We've had a really good Labor Day / Joshua's first birthday. It is hard to believe that it has been a year. We had a good day with family and friends coming up for a barbeque, after that we opened presents and had birthday cake.
Josh (and Eli) really liked his new presents. The piggy bank and instruments were a big hit. You never know when you are buying a present for a one year old, but it was nice to see that Josh liked what he got.
Josh took a nap while the boys went disc golfing. Afterwards we just had a quiet evening at home. Both boys were going a little crazy so we decided to put them down to bed early. It didn't quite work out the way we hoped because Eli got sick and threw up a couple of times. Finally he fell asleep and after a few tries of putting Josh down, he fell asleep too. We were supposed to start a kids school tomorrow but I'm not quite sure if we will make it or not.

Happy Birthday Josh! I am so sorry I missed it, I must not have it written down on my calender. I'll fix that now. Hope Eli gets better.
It sounds like a nice day other than Eli being sick, that's never fun:( Hopefully he'll start feeling better soon.
