Spoke Too Soon

Today I was talking to my sister-in-law and told her that I didn't feel pregnant any more because I am out of the sick all of the time stage.  Plus I am not quite big enough to look pregnant, depending on what clothes I am wearing.

I spoke too soon. I am now in the heartburn all of the time stage.  At least there is medicine that helps me better than the anti-naseau medicine did.

He was Great!

We had a good time at Eli's talent show.  I got Josh out of school early so that he could come too. It was a good thing I did, because the talent show went from 2pm until 3:30pm!

Here are some still shots of the show.

Eli is waiting his turn

Noelle is happy to be there, but didn't want to take off her jacket.

Eli's friend was the first to perform.

I got her jacket off, but she insisted on wearing her gloves.

Some of the teachers did a little talent too!

The applause was pretty loud.

Talent Show!

Last Monday Eli had tryouts for his school's talent show. He was a little worried, but we did a lot of practicing beforehand so that he would know how to do his presentation of pogo sticking.

His personal record for continuous jumps 3001!  But they only have 2 minutes for the talent show.

For the talent show tryout Eli showed the judges how he could jump to 50, then jump really high, jump over a stool, then he jumped with one hand and switched to the other hand.  For his grand finale trick he jumped 30 times in a row with NO HANDS!

Friday his teacher came up to him and told him that his friend Carly got into the talent show but he did not.  Eli was so sad, that he told me afterwards, his eyes got wet and he was about to cry 1000 tears. Instead his teacher really quickly said she was joking and Eli made it into the TALENT SHOW!  We are very proud of him and can't wait until Friday April 19th for the talent show.

Noelle is Growing Up

Today Noelle went up to the toilet just off of the office and told me that she needed to go to the bathroom. I said okay, go ahead. She started to try and pull off her pants and then asked for help. I decided to go up to the attic and get the potty seats out.

I put the potty seat on the toilet and got her to sit on it. (She was a little nervous about it first, since she had never seen it before.)  Then she wouldn't get off the toilet. I kept asking her if she was done, and she said "No, I go pee."

She never did succeed, although she sat there for nearly five minutes.  I'm not going to push her to get toilet trained yet, but if she asks again to sit on the toilet I will let her.

Crazy kid!

Very Blessed

I am feeling really blessed today.  I have been worried about Noelle because she has not been eating very much. One day she had two bits of apples for dinner and then said she was done.  Yesterday after her nap I kept asking her if she wanted something to eat.  This was our conversation.

"Do you want a snack?"
"No, no no."
"Do you want a cheese stick?"
"No, no, no."
"Do you want milk?"
"No, no, no."
"Do you want soda?"
"No, no, no"
"Do you want candy?"
"No, no, no."

Okay, so I wasn't offering her the most healthy foods, I just wanted to get her some calories!  Anyway we went down to the basement because I remembered I had some fruit bars. I also saw fruit snacks so I grabbed them both.  I gave her one of each, she ate her fruit snacks but didn't touch the fruit bar.

I was still a bit worried.  For dinner I made Taco Pie and I decided to mix her olives in with the entree to see if she would hopefully eat more than just olives.  She Did!  She ate so much more of her dinner than I ever expected.

Then for breakfast  this morning she ate most of her cereal, horray!  This morning I was having some pumpernickel bread for a snack and she came up and asked for some, ate it and then asked for more bread.

Horray!  Hopefully my little girl is feeling better and will start eating again!

I have been saying prayers of gratitude to Heavenly Father all morning as I give Noelle more food. He has truly answered my prayers.

What's New?

We had a very mellow Spring Break. The kids and I mostly stayed home and relaxed.  Morgan was able to get off work early on Friday, which was great because Guy and Allison game to visit. We decided to go to the Phelps Youth Pavilion to play around.

Noelle is making music.

Josh is trying out the chopsticks.

Eli dressed up in EVERY article of clothing in the China section.

The boys are listening to music.

Josh liked playing Cowboys.

Noelle is so pretty in her Sunday dresses, that I can't help but take pictures of her.

Melissa got a haircut.  It is the I'm pregnant and I need change in my life haircut.

For Easter weekend we went down to Chillicothe to be with family and celebrate Jim's annual 39th birthday party.

Noelle loves to Swing!

Josh is smiling.

Eli practiced his disc golf throws.

Climbing everywhere.

Saturday we went disc golfing as a family and brought Pete & Anne and Guy with us. It was nice to get outside and walk around.

I'm playing with my camera on this picture, modifying colors.

When Henry was told to look out for discs being thrown he would get into this position. Its a nice target, but luckily he never got hit.
We didn't actually do much "Easter" activities this year. I divided up some candy on Easter weekend and gave it to the kids.
Eli still wanted to have an egg hunt and said that we didn't even have to put candy in the eggs.

I did have some jelly beans down in the basement, so in between sessions of General Conference Morgan and I hid the Easter eggs for the kids to find. They had a really good time with it.

Here is Noelle all dressed up to go to The Sunday morning session of General Conference at the church. My sister Cherie made this beautiful dress for her when she was born and it almost fits her.  (Noelle is a tiny girl, so the dress is still a bit big....but that just means that she'll get more chances to wear it!)

Here you can see a view of the back of the dress, which is full of pretty ruffles.
